The Now

You are here to enable the divine of the universe to unfold.
The present moment holds the key to liberation.
To the mind, the present moment hardly exists.
It is always concerned with keeping the past alive, and
constantly projects itself into the future.

Humans have been in the grip of pain for eons,
ever since they fell from the state of grace,
entered the realm of time and mind,
and lost awareness of being.

Make the now the primary focus of your life.

The egocentric needs are endless...to be identified
with your mind is to be trapped in time: it creates an
endless preoccupation with past and future and unwillingness
to honor and acknowledge the present moment and allow it to be.

The now is the only point that can take you beyond the
limitted confines of the mnd.
It is your only point of access into the timeless and
formless realm of being.
When you reconnect with being, you no longer
participate in the egocentric drama.

Nothing ever happened in the past; it happened in the now.
Nothing will ever happen in the future, it will happen in the now.
There is never a time when your life is not " this moment".

My first visit to your blog and wow what post I have read. Present holds the key to unlimited opportunties. It is so rightly said. I like the pic as well. Very well done.

Gosh, as simple as the statement sounds that is not an easy thing to do. While I read it I found myself trying to reflect on how I live my life -- and it seems like it is often not in the 'now'... Much if it seems equally balanced in the past and future... not good. Will have to work on this.

Christine it can be hard indeed...we rarely savor the moment, I try and I found meditation helps...

"enlightened humanity"... and thats why we have Eckhart Tolle and the likes... here we have few people, who perhaps understand what it actually is to just be... my concern is... though we are growing spiritually, we are also growing exponentially... its just quite a challenge to get all of us to be at one frequency and then again, the wavelength is not huge enough...

Thnx for dropping by my blog.

Kuan Gung said...

keshi you can only affect what is happening right "now" in the present...the future is misplaced imagination and the past is a quick relection and it's gone...thank you

I have the book "The Power of Now". A very good read. The "Now" is not the "Now" from a sense of time really...because if it were then we could all be enlightened right now! This "now" is something that cannot be expressed...something that cannot be grasped...The physical "now" from a time sense is just a door to the eternal "Now" , "the being"....don't take it so literally.....that "eternal now" is transcendental. It cannot be fathomed by the mind..so give up intellectual thrill and emotional satisfaction that u get by conceptualizing the "now".

Life is a journey,
We can take each moment and cherish it
or we can choose to waste it.
For this very moment will never pass our way again.
